This is Maria from the Ahn Trio. We would like to start posting our recent photos here, so we can share our special moments with you! These are some photos from the meet & greet event when the First Lady of South Korea visited New York City.
Here is a picture of me with the First Lady. We had a very nice conversation with her, in which I mentioned, some day, I would love to see an all-Korean-American orchestra perform in Pyonyang to follow in the steps of the New York Philharmonic!
Here is a picture of Angella with the First Lady. Angella thought “She was very beautiful, intelligent, elegant, and well-spoken!”
And here is Lucia with the First Lady: “It was an honor to have been invited to meet with her, along with 17 other fellow Korean artists!”
Well, we all thought our Korean was excellent — until we heard the other artists speaking to the First Lady! We are definitely going to brush up our Korean before we go to Korea on tour this December, so we can speak more ‘elegantly’. J
